The Cake:
Unless your package includes it, bring a soft cake (avoid fondant or hard decorations).
Think: buttercream, pastels, and minimal food coloring. My favorite on is Chantilly cream mini berry cake from "Whole Foods", it's only $12 and made of all natural ingredients.

Schedule around nap time — a rested baby = happy smashing.
