No, I’m not a mom, but Sometimes I style my clients for maternity photoshoot.
And I faced a huge problem - there are no good maternity clothing. At all. Period. First thing that we do when we are looking for maternity clothing is we google it, right?
Sure enough, plenty options show up in my area. But why all of this looks like a home cloth or grandma wardrobe?
Pregnant woman more than ever need to feel that she is beautiful! She needs to know that her body is more beautiful than ever.
And clothing supposed to fulfill that function ( and be comfy, of course). I didn’t want to give up idea of finding beautiful maternity clothing, since I need it for maternity photoshoots and some newborn photoshoots in NJ and NYC for the moms who purchase styling service.
If google didn’t work for me, let’s check social media, I thought. And here is what I found out!

First I want to list an exception: if you want maternity jeans or leggings, specific stores in your area are the way to go.
Jeans.
Good options for the quality is Gap and Uniqlo. For my pregnancy I also found a great option at Zara.
Basics
H&M maternity (online) can help with basics like tops and t-shirts. They have nursing dresses as well.
Jackets
Not many options at Old Navy. Very comfortable and it’s always a greta option to make a look fun with accessories during winter time.
Underwear
Calvin Klein and Coche Coeur Lingerie ( option to order from France, worth the wait!)
Now let’s talk dresses:
I am in love with laces dresses for photoshoots and special occasions from online store "WeAreReclamation". Stunning dresses. One word - Pricey.
Pink Blush has beautiful casual dresses if you got lucky to show your baby bump during summer.
Asos maternity is a to go place for the local fashion bloggers, so I included it for you as well.
Sweaters/ Cute cardigans - “Chicwish” and of course men sweaters (why not?)
I wrote about all this options and you probably wondering: “So where do I find fashionable pieces for maternity if I need to go out for the dinner?”
A Pea in The Pod is great for night out or photoshoot outfit.
